Ten Tips For Coping With Stress

1. Begin the day with God. Read His Word, talk to Him in prayer. Rest in the Lord.

2. Listen when others talk, doing only one thing at a time.

3. Drop annoying, time consuming activities and obligations-things that have no eternal value.

4. Be open to share feelings of joy, grief, frustrations, or disappointments, but recognize that each situation is allowed by God.

5. Stop trying to remember everything. Write things down, make notes of reminder for yourself.

6. Allow more time than you think you need to meet appointments, or to get a certain job done. Allow time for the unexpected.

7. Be prepared to wait. Keep a small Bible, book or letter writing material with you so you can make good use of moments while you wait.

8. Rid your life of clutter. If you haven't worn it or used it for a year, give it to someone who will use it.

9. Plan tomorrow before the end of the day. But keep in mind that plans are subject to change if God wills.

10. Take time to smell the flowers, listen to birds chirp and sing. Look around at what God has created for you and know you are loved.
